Psychotherapy for adolescents, young adults, and families.
Welcome! I am glad you are here.
Reaching out to someone to walk alongside you on your journey can be… daunting? Strange? Exciting? Life can be weird, and hard, and we just don’t have to do it alone. Maybe you are ready to dive right in or maybe you prefer to move at a slower pace. It’s okay to not even know where to start, or what to feel. I meet you where you are.
My work focuses on helping college students, adolescents, and young adults, especially those who have histories of trauma, are adopted, are experiencing severe depression, anxiety, or substance use issues, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and life transitions. This is my passion- to help connect the dots, to help relieve the heaviness, to help you be your best self. I prioritize the relationship we will share with each other in the work we do, as research has continuously shown this is the most important factor for change to occur. I do this by routinely checking in to see how the process is feeling for you, if we need to slow down or speed up, and ensuring you feel safe in the space. It is not always easy to welcome someone into the deepest parts of your self and it is important we get to know each other first so we can establish this trust.
With families, I approach issues with curiosity and directness. We are in a safe space to discuss the hard stuff. The goal is to heal the wounds that are keeping the dynamic within the family in the same cycle. Whether it is an issue between one parent and a child, or the entire family unit, we can work towards repair and improved communication, together.
No problem is too big or too small to bring to therapy. Sometimes we just need someone to talk to, and sometimes we need someone to help us process hurtful experiences that continue to affect us. A therapist does not “fix” you, because you are not broken. Sometimes we need a safe place to do our thinking and not fear being judged for it.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Texas, and received both my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Masters of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, where I am also an Adjunct Faculty Professor in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Hook ‘em!
I have worked with teens, young adults, and families in various settings, including treatment centers, the child welfare system, psychiatric hospitals, non-profits, schools, and individual therapy practice. I knew very early into my career that these were the age groups I felt most inspired to help. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and attachment focused. I integrate a range of modalities and approaches into my work with clients depending on what will be most useful and supportive to their style.
This is truly my passion and I feel honored when I am let into my clients’ world.
